Zeekr 7X 2027 keeps 229,800 CNY start, adds an 85 kWh battery with 680 km

Zeekr, the premium electric brand of Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175), opened pre-sales for the 2027 Zeekr 7X SUV in China on November 5, 2026, with prices from 229,800 CNY (c. $34,500). That is the same starting price as the current 7X, which launched in October 2025 at 229,800, 249,800 and 269,800 CNY (c. $34,500, $37,500 and $40,500) for its three versions.
The main change is a new battery in the middle of the range. The rear-wheel-drive Max+ now comes with an 85 kWh pack as standard, filling the gap between the 75 kWh and 103 kWh batteries the 7X already offered. Zeekr rates the Max+ at 680 km of CLTC range with the new pack, and buyers can still choose the 103 kWh battery for up to 802 km.
Zeekr has not yet published prices for each version. Until the official launch, buyers who order through Zeekr's own channels can pay a 2,000 CNY (c. $300) deposit that counts as 7,000 CNY (c. $1,050) toward the car. In a preview on November 3, CarNewsChina expected the 85 kWh version to cost around 239,800 CNY (c. $36,000), which would put it between the two existing rear-wheel-drive prices.
The rest of the line-up carries over. The entry rear-wheel-drive Max keeps a 75 kWh battery with up to 620 km of CLTC range, and the all-wheel-drive Ultra keeps a 103 kWh CATL Qilin battery with up to 715 km. The Ultra's two motors make 585 kW and 812 Nm, enough for 0 to 100 km/h in 2.98 seconds, the same as the current top version.
All three versions now use a 900-volt architecture. On the current 7X, only the 103 kWh versions were 900-volt, while the 75 kWh entry car used an 800-volt Golden Battery. Charging times are unchanged: the 75 kWh and 85 kWh packs charge at up to 5.5C and go from 10% to 80% in 10.5 minutes, while the 103 kWh pack charges at up to 6C and takes 10 minutes.

Comfort is the other focus. Both front seats now have a zero-gravity reclining mode, with 12 massage points, eight massage modes and three intensity levels. In the back, the seats recline to 134 degrees and slide by up to 215 mm, with graphene heating and pneumatic massage.
Zeekr lists several features as standard on every version, including a tire-blowout stability system, road noise cancellation and electromagnetic dampers that adjust to the road in milliseconds. Every 7X also gets 31 sensors including one lidar, and the 2027 model is the first car with version 4.1 of Geely's G-ASD driver assistance, which supports navigation-assisted driving and parking-space-to-parking-space navigation.
On the outside, Zeekr has added a gold and a red paint, bringing the choice to eight exterior colors, along with a new interior color. The body is unchanged at 4,825 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,666 mm tall, on a 2,925 mm wheelbase. Display cars are already in stores, and Zeekr has said the official launch will come in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The update comes after a softer month for Zeekr. The brand delivered 32,483 vehicles in October, up 51.6% from a year earlier but down 12.7% from September's 37,216, ending a run of six consecutive monthly records. Deliveries for the first ten months reached 320,887, up 94.45%.
The 7X makes up nearly a third of Zeekr's sales. It accounted for 86,806 deliveries from January to September, or 30.10% of the brand's total, and its monthly volume rose from 7,345 in June to 12,041 in September. Ifeng's pre-sale report says the 7X has now sold more than 10,000 units for four months in a row, which implies October also topped 10,000, and that it has more than 230,000 owners worldwide.
The 7X is also sold in Europe, where Zeekr launched its own update in October at 52,990 EUR. In China, an updated Zeekr 001 shooting brake has appeared in a regulatory filing and is due in the first quarter of 2027.
On the current 7X, moving from the 75 kWh Max to a 103 kWh version meant a 20,000 CNY step in price. The 85 kWh Max+ fills that gap rather than cutting the entry price, and where Zeekr sets its price at launch will decide whether the 680 km version becomes the one most buyers choose.
Conversion rate: 1 USD = 6.6546 CNY as of November 2, 2026.
