Because Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies and keeps only totals, it runs for all visitors. In Quebec, Google Analytics 4 runs only with your consent.

Used by Google AdSense and the ad companies Google works with to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and, if you allow it, show ads based on your interests and visits to this and other sites.

Other third-party content
- Google "preferred source" button on articles loads a script from news.google.com. Google may read or set its own cookies, especially if you're signed in to Google.
- Share buttons (X, Facebook, Reddit, email) are simple links. They set no cookies until you click and go to that site.
- Ad blocker check: a small test in your browser to see whether ads are blocked. Nothing is stored or sent to us.
The exact cookie names and lifetimes are set by Google and can change. The consent message lists the current vendors and purposes.
Changing your mind
- On our Site: click Privacy and cookie settings in the footer. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
