Galaxy, the new energy vehicle brand under Geely group (Zhejiang Geely Holding Group), launched its first MPV, the Galaxy V900, on January 20, 2026, in China, expanding its product lineup into the mid-to-large family MPV segment as competition intensifies among domestic plug-in hybrid and extended-range models.
The Galaxy V900 is positioned as an AI-enabled family MPV and is the debut model of Geely Galaxy’s new Luxury V Series. It enters a market dominated by established players such as the Buick GL8 PHEV and Denza D9, where interior space, powertrain efficiency, and assisted-driving capability are key purchase drivers.

Geely Galaxy, which operates as Geely Auto Group’s (HKG:0175) primary mass-market new energy brand, has until now focused on sedans and SUVs. The V900 marks its first attempt to scale into the MPV segment, a category that remains resilient in China despite broader passenger vehicle demand volatility.

The Galaxy V900 is offered in three variants. Official list prices range from 309,800 CNY to 369,800 CNY (c. $44,500–$53,200), with limited-time launch pricing set at 269,800 CNY to 329,800 CNY (c. $38,800–$47,400).
The all-wheel-drive Pro and Max versions are priced at 309,800 CNY and 329,800 CNY, respectively, while the Golden Glory Collector’s Edition is listed at 369,800 CNY. Geely said the first 3,000 buyers of the collector edition will receive 10 grams of physical gold.

The vehicle measures 5,360 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,920–1,940 mm in height, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase. It is available in six-, seven-, and eight-seat configurations, although the AWD Pro variant is limited to seven seats. Geely claims a 91.8% interior space utilization rate, with more than 1,000 mm (39 inches) of longitudinal legroom in both the second and third rows without adjusting front seats.
Power is supplied by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with dual electric motors in an extended-range configuration. The system delivers 340 kW of peak output and 523 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds.

Battery options include 43.3 kWh and 50 kWh packs, providing CLTC-rated electric-only ranges of 220 km and 260 km (137 miles and 162 miles), respectively. Total comprehensive driving range reaches 1,180 km to 1,220 km (733–758 miles).
Geely said the extended-range system achieves 47.26% thermal efficiency, generating 3.77 kWh of electricity per liter of fuel, and supports fast charging with a claimed 18-minute charge time under suitable conditions.

The Galaxy V900 is equipped with Geely’s Qianli Haohan H5 assisted driving system, powered by NVIDIA Orin-series processors. The sensor suite includes one LiDAR unit, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, enabling highway and urban NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) functions nationwide, as well as automated parking across more than 300 parking scenarios.
Chassis hardware includes air suspension with a 65 mm adjustable range, continuous variable damping with 20-millisecond response, and a predictive “magic carpet” system. Geely said the suspension tuning was carried out by engineers from Lotus, another brand within the Geely group.

Inside, the V900 features a 15.4-inch central display, 10.25-inch instrument panel, 19.8-inch AR head-up display, and runs Flyme Auto 2 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. A 27-speaker Flyme Sound audio system, a 9.1-liter temperature-controlled storage box, and four 50W wireless charging pads are standard or available depending on trim.
Geely’s move into the MPV segment comes as domestic brands increasingly rely on extended-range architectures to address charging access concerns while meeting regulatory efficiency targets, raising the question of how quickly Galaxy can translate scale in other segments into sustained MPV market share.
